Lotus Globe Tea

Finally i got the things together to make my next entry about tea!
I went to a town in Denmark called "Svendborg", Svendborg is a nice town, it is very moody and joyful.
In Svenborg i got recommended a little shop called "Den gamle butik" in English it is called
The old Shop.
I went there to find some interesting coffee and tea. So when i went there with my girlfriend, i stumbled upon a very eye opening and caching thing!

It is called a Lotus Flower
Lotus Flower
The pictures can be clicked to enlarge
The Lotus flower is on this picture the little ball shaped thing on the plate.

I bought one of them, and brought it home. And at the moment that this picture was taken, i was heating the water and preparing the video camera for recording the unfolding of this flower.
Because when this flower is touched by hot water, it unfolds.

So what you do, is that you take a glass or any kind of a container heat some water to about 80 degrees Celsius.
Then you put the ball in the glass and pour the water over the ball.

Slowly after the water have touched the flower, it will start unfolding.
And become a flower.

The flower after about 2-3 minuets in the water

As seen on the picture the ball now turned in to a flower.

And just after i poured the water over the flower it began smelling so good!

It is a very special and delicious smell!

It looks good, Smells good.

The flower needs to stay there for around 7-8 minutes before removal.

So i asked myself.

Does it taste good?

And yes! It actually tastes good! After i picked up the flower from the tea and placed it on the plate for later use, i took a sip of the glass. There was still 2 pink leafs floating around in the top. ( talking out of experience, i would not recommend eat them )
And in the bottom of the glass a few of the green leafs.

After one use

As seen in the picture the flower does not look stunning when removed from the glass.

But i am told that it can be used more then just once.

All in all i like the tea, it has a pretty clear aftertaste, that some may like, but i for myself does not.

And because of the parts of the flower still floating around in there. It should be enjoyed a little faster then normal tea. Because the tea will keep brewing and will get kinda strong.

But aside from this, this is really good tea, it is a good gift, it is nice to look at and smells delicious.
But it is kinda expensive, it costs 12 Dkk.
That is the same as 2,13 USD and 1,61 Euro.

But it is worth the money if you find the right occurrence and use for it.

3/5

I will in a near future upload a video of the unfolding!
I hope that you will enjoy it!

Senseo Coffee

Well, first entry about coffee!
Why not start out with something fast?

Senseo is a coffee machine developed by Philips.
The Senseo coffee machine, was made to get a great cup of coffee, really fast, without having to compromise the taste at all.

This machine hits my preference spot on!
Every day when i get out of bed, i am sometimes in a hurry, tired, and is looking forward to a long dag!
A nice cup of coffee is always a good way to make a good kick-off for the day.
I have two sorts of pods for my machine:
1. Senseo Medium Roast ( Red )
2. Senseo Dark Roast ( Brown )
Just these two is perfect. First of all, you get a variation between two tastes that is fare away from each other. Second of all, depending on the situation.
Medium Roast

Are you just looking for a good cup of coffee that don't give you a big smack in the head with caffeine?
Red would be to prefer!

Dark Roast

Are you tired? just rolled out of bed, and rely need something to kick start your day, and also give your taste buds something to work with? Brown would be to prefer!

White Temple Tea

A. C. Perch's Thehandel

A. C. Perch's Thehandel is a tea store from Copenhagen in Denmark.
The store was founded in 1835 and is purveyor to the Danish Royal Family.

Recently some family of mine, visited Copenhagen and bought this new tea for me.

Its called White temple.

Even before i opened the bag, i could sense the god smell and aroma of the tea, while holding the bag in my hand.

White Temple Tea
The tea is very light, soft and delicate white tea. It has aromas from among other things, Mango, Papaya, Strawberries, Blackcurrant and Pineapple.
Preparation:
The tea should be prepared by, putting the tea into a Tea Strainer or a Tea Bag. (Quantity depends on the amount of water used)
Heat the water to 70-80 degrees Celsius, pour it over the tea at let it steep for about 8-10 minutes.
Serve without milk.
Just about to be served!

I Think that the tea is delicious, and is both nice to drink, it smells good! and most important. It tastes good.
